New Work Galleries (under construction)  Click for larger image Christina is a Sydney based mosaic artist who has studied her craft in London, Italy and Sydney. Christina applies traditional techniques to her contemporary mosaic designs. Christina produces delightful and original mosaics that demonstrate her natural eye for striking colour combinations and design balance.
 Click for larger image A range of media is employed to create interesting texture and movement in these unique art pieces. Materials used include smalti, marble, vitreous glass tile, ceramic tile, stained and reflective glass, millefiori, old china, pebbles and found objects.  Click for larger image The twin fish mosaic is a copy of an ancient floor mosaic in Israel. It has been constructed in the traditional mosaic method and using traditional materials. This marble and smalti reproduction piece was completed by Christina at a workshop in Ravenna in Italy, where she developed skills in restoration and reproduction techniques. A traditional yet timeless style, such as that represented by the twin fish, can offer an authentic mosaic art for interior or exterior installation in both the public and private domain.
